Background - Mike Radakovic

Mike was born in Calgary, Alberta and moved to Bolivia, South America in 1977 where he was reacquainted with family and completed the majority of his primary schooling. In addition to completing his BSc at the University of Calgary, Mike also holds certificates in Business Administration and Financial Planning. His love for wine was sparked during a trip to Napa Valley in 2002 which lead him to pursue and successfully complete The Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 3 Advanced Certificate. Equipped with this knowledge he secured employment with one of Calgary's most prestigious boutique wine stores before setting off to Argentina for 2 months in 2006.

The above experience coupled with extensive wine travel throughout South America and Napa Valley has given Mike the opportunity to bridge his heritage and principle goal – to increase small production wine representation in Alberta, Canada. To date Mike has met with over 150 wineries which has allowed him to comfortably hand select his current portfolio.

When not reminiscing about wines consumed with his accounts – Mike, his wife Andrea and son Saul can be found in the Canadian Rockies. Their spare time is usually consumed with biking, kayaking and backcountry skiing in the winter months.
